QUINCY, MASS. [August 19, 2023] – In Between Days Festival is excited to unveil the set times, site map, and food and drink vendors for its 2023 edition, taking place Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20 at the historic Veterans Memorial Stadium in Quincy, Massachusetts. This year’s festival will feature two main stages, the In Between Days Stage and the Arbella Insurance Stage, with two dozen bands and artists comprising a diverse and eclectic lineup that’s one of the most exciting showcases of live music in New England.
The two stages guarantee no overlap in live performances, ensuring all attendees will be able to catch every set from each of the 24 bands and artists playing across the weekend.
On Saturday, August 19, the In Between Days Stage welcomes Modest Mouse (8 p.m.), Sunny Day Real Estate (5:45 p.m.), Blitzen Trapper (4 p.m.), Fantastic Cat (2:45 p.m.), Slothrust (1:30 p.m.), and Paper Tigers (12:30 p.m.); while the Arbella Insurance Stage features The Beths (7 p.m.), Weakened Friends (5 p.m.), shallow pools (3:30 p.m.), Dutch Tulips (2:15 p.m.), Carissa Johnson (1 p.m.), and Quincy’s own Gypsy Moths (noon).
On Sunday, August 20, the In Between Days Stage welcomes Lord Huron (8 p.m.), Trampled By Turtles (5:45 p.m.), Cautious Clay (4 p.m.), Yoke Lore (2:45 p.m.), Allison Ponthier (1:30 p.m.), and Dwight & Nicole (12:30 p.m.); while the Arbella Insurance Stage features Phantogram (7 p.m.), Illiterate Light (5 p.m.), Mike Marks (3:30 p.m.), Kat Wright (2:15 p.m.), Mint Green (1 p.m.), and Sweet Petunia (noon). Check out the set times graphic below, as well as a festival site map (all graphics and images are also included in the festival’s assets folder).
In addition to the music, the expansive, open-air festival grounds of Veterans Memorial Stadium will also host a one-of-a-kind festival shopping experience in partnership with Little City Thrifty Vintage Market and The Good Trade Makers Market. This curated collection will feature vintage fashion, home decor, vinyl record dealers and local independent makers selling their specialty crafted wares. Fans can also have fun in the retro arcade presented by Bit Bar Salem.
Enjoy food offerings and tasty bites from Cheese Louise, The Chubby Chickpea, Hott Smoke BBQ, Lobster Proper, Rosa Mexicano, and The Lunchbox, Veteran Memorial Stadium's classic American concessions restaurant. And swing by The Cantina, brought to you by Diageo, during In Between Days to try some delicious canned cocktails from Loyal 9 and Captain Morgan. They’ll be pouring samples of the brand new Loyal 9 Margarita alongside Loyal 9 Lemonade and Vita Coco spiked with Captain Morgan in flavors Piña Colada and Strawberry Daiquiri.
In Between Days has also partnered with 1 Million Strong to bring a sober-supportive sanctuary to its festival grounds. And a portion of every ticket sale will be donated to Quincy Community Action Programs, Inc. (QCAP), a private nonprofit organization in the Greater Quincy area dedicated to reducing poverty and helping low-income people achieve self-sufficiency. It all adds up to a unique community-driven experience unlike any other festival.
“After great feedback following our first year, our lineup has grown exponentially and is stacked with two stages of great local and global musical talent, our new vintage marketplace will feature everything from thrifting to vinyl and the retro arcade will double in size,” says festival founder Alex Magleby. “We're excited about our diverse food and beverage vendors. We really can't wait to bring this community back together to share the expanding experience with new friends and artists at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Quincy.”
In Between Days is more than a music festival -- it's a vibe, an experience, and a feeling of community that is best felt during that high-point of summer, surrounded by friends and soundtracked by some of the best national and homegrown bands. It’s purposely slotted towards the end of summer vacations and before the beginning of school -- filling a late-season void by creating a unique experience for attendees. It takes place at Quincy’s historic Veterans Memorial Stadium, the recently renovated home of the Major League Rugby 2023 champions New England Free Jacks, situated within the beautiful and scenic settings of Merrymount Park.
Tickets to In Between Days are currently on sale now. Single-day general admission tickets start at $105 and weekend general admission are priced at $175.50. VIP passes are $230 for single-day admission and $400 for weekend passes. VIP packages to In Between Days include access to an exclusive concert viewing section at the front of the main stage, admission to the festival’s VIP hospitality lounge and private bar, free soft drinks and snacks, access to air-conditioned restroom trailers, a VIP concierge service and a private VIP festival entrance to skip the general admission lines.
The festival location, located just eight miles south of Boston, is easily accessible via a short walk from the Wollaston Station or Quincy Center stops on the MBTA Red Line. While taking public transportation, ride shares and carpooling is encouraged, there is local parking for those attending the festival.
